Warmbloods Can Rope
I know a warmblood is not designed to rope, but they sure can enjoy it. My Holsteiner mare, Sohaela, by the well-known stallion "Riverman" was given to me. To make a long story short she was heading "south". I had the honor of starting her as a 2 year old and I will never forget the work ethic she had on her 3rd ride. It was something one rarely experiences in a young horse. I wanted to buy her at the time but couldn't afford the price. Anyway here we are 8 years down the road and the kind women asked me if I would take her and keep her. Of course I said YES. This is a short clip of what we have been doing together so far. She is an awesome lady and doing very well for me. The darker horse in the clip is another by Riverman I had in training for 60 days or so, also an awesome horse.
Remember, while certain breeds are bred to excel in certain things, most horses can be trained to do anything! A warmblood may never beat out a Quarter Horse in the local rodeo, but there is no reason they cannot enjoy the sport for fun!
